Biography

Ed Brown, owner of PONDeriffic Adventures, has been interested in ponds since he was a little boy growing up in the fields of Iowa. From digging muddy holes in his backyard, to creating masterpieces in the yards of others, Ed’s passion has come full circle. He is excited to share his love of the outdoors and creative abilities with others. He revels in the fact that when he is done with a job he has left a bit of nature behind that can be enjoyed by all- most importantly the home and business owners that he serves.
As a graduate of the Texas A&M University system with an MS in Plant Science, Ed has found his niche. He is able to use his extensive knowledge of plants and ecosystems to enhance the lives of others. By using his creativity to design, he installs water features that look like they came straight from Mother Nature herself.

Whether it be a rushing, gushing waterfall or a tranquil pond, Ed can take your interests and your water garden dreams and turn them into reality. Ed knows first hand how a water feature can change a life. He enjoys relaxing and unwinding by his own pond after a long workday. There, his wife, and toddler son enjoy watching the koi swim to the surface for food, listening to the sound of the crashing waterfall and talking about the days events while having dinner. It has moved their family time from the television set to the great outdoors, and has brought his whole family “back to nature”.
A water garden takes far less water than the same area of grass. It is easy to maintain, and a joy to own. It’s like having a little slice of nature in your own backyard, giving you a place to escape to without leaving your home. 1.Earned “Top Frog” Club honors in Aquascape Inc. Dealer Program 2005, 2006, 2007
2.Selected as 1 of 15 contractors to build exotic water feature at Disneys Epcot Center in Orlando FL in March 07 for the International Flower and Garden Festival.
3.Won First Place for Design and Building of outdoor landscape project in the Sun Lakes Retirement Community’s landscape contest, Banning, CA summer 2008.
4.Annual contributor to Boys and Girls Clubs of America by charitable donation of a water feature raffled at silent auction event in November of each year.

Military Experience

1.US Army Veteran with 3 yrs of experience as a radio operator. 1983-1986 as a Specialist 4th Class with the HHB Division Artillery, 3rd Infantry Division, Germany.

1.B.S. Biological Science, University of Northern Colorado. 3.1 GPA.
2.M.S. Plant Science, Texas A&M University System, 3.98 GPA.
